What the heck is the Cincinnati Scurry?
The 1st annual Cincinnati Scurry hosted by Tier1 Performance Solutions in partnership with the Marvin Lewis Community Fund is challenging corporations to give back through a fun event based on the television show "The Amazing Race". Corporate teams of 4 people will be dispatched from Fountain Square to scour the city performing various tasks testing their speed, teamwork, problem-solving, trivia and their knowledge of the Greater Cincinnati area.
When is it?
The event will take pace on Friday, April 16, 2010. We'll kick off at Fountain Square at 2:00 and finish in the Backstage Alley around 5:00 (depending on how long it takes your team to eat five Gold Star Chili cheese coney's and then run across a bridge). There will be an after party following the race, including music, food and adult beverages.
I like cheese coneys! How do i get involved?
Each participating organization will be able to enter one team of four racers, with a minimum donation of $1,000 to enter (teams that raise more than the minimum will get a head start!). But we're trying to spread the fun to more then just those four racers, so there will be opportunities for others to contribute. Group participation is encouraged, from fund-raising and outreach opportunities before the race, to special group participation activities during the race, and of course the final after party to enjoy into the evening.
